Fees & Rebates
Alyssa charges $240 for a 50-minute session (telehealth or in person).
The current fee recommended by the Australian Psychological Society is $300.
Alyssa is unable to provide bulk-billing services.
The current Medicare rebate under the Better Access Scheme is $136.65 (with a mental health care plan you are currently eligible for 10 session per year). To access a mental health care plan, you need a review from your GP or a specialist (e.g., a psychiatrist). This will provide an initial six sessions before Alyssa is required to provide a review to the referrer. This review will provide another four sessions.
For clients to receive a Medicare rebate, Alyssa must be in receipt of a valid Medicare Better Access Scheme referral at the first consultation containing the following information:
A referral letter and a mention of the MHCP, alternatively a copy attached
–
The client’s name, date of birth and address
–
The client’s diagnosis and a request for treatment
–
The number of sessions the client is being referred for
–
The GP’s provider number
–
The referral must be signed and dated.
Alyssa is eligible to provide rebates through Private Health Insurance. The rebate you receive will depend on the level of cover you have; please check this with your private health insurance provider.
Alyssa also accepts referrals with no gap payment required by the client through the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). She is not a registered NDIS-provider and is only eligible for self or plan managed NDIS.
Alyssa charges $240 for a 50-minute supervision session (telehealth or in person).
Please contact Alyssa if you are a fulltime student as she may be able to offer a lower rate.
Alyssa is happy to provide letters and documentation (such as attendance letters, communication with other treatment professionals) for no charge where the time required is less than 15 minutes.
Alyssa can provide longer reports (such as treatment reports for legal matters) upon request.
For documentation preparation requiring longer than 15 minutes, a $240/hour fee is charged in 15-minute increments. Reports require a 50% deposit of the estimated cost prior to being written, with payment in full before the report is provided to the client.
If Alyssa does not have adequate information to accurately compete the report, she may deem a session (at standard rates) is necessary for information gathering.
